Adventure Plans
Turn a good idea into a conservative plan with clear decision points.
Before you leave
Write down the route, access points, expected timing, weather, water conditions, group capability, equipment, emergency contacts, and the time you will turn around. Share the plan with someone who is not on the trip.
Build in alternatives
A strong plan includes an easier option and a no-go option. Conditions, energy, and equipment can change. Walking away is sound judgment, not a failed adventure.
Afterward
Record what worked, what changed, and what you would pack or plan differently next time. Those notes become your best personal guide.
